Trash / Recycling

In April 2020 Alternative Waste Management sold to Casella Waste Systems who is now the garbage collector for the Village of Dryden.  The Village participates in a Sticker or Tag Program.  Stickers/Tags may be purchased at the Village Clerk’s Office, Kinney Drug Store, Clarks grocery and both of the gas stations in the Village.

As of June 1, 2020 the cost to purchase a sheet of twelve trash tags from the Village Clerk's office is $23.00. You can continue to use the pink tags. The new color will be Turquoise. Thursday is trash pick up day in the Village. Your trash should be placed at the curb by 6:00am on Thursday for pick up. Trash tags must be placed on your trash bag prior to pick up. Weeks with these Holidays-Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fouth of July and Labor Day, garbage pickup will be on Friday.

A Food Scraps Recycling Drop Spot is open at 61 East Main Street from 9:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday. Users can bring up to 10 gallons of food scraps and paper napkins & towels per day, free of charge, to one of our Drop Spots; for further information please go here.

The Village also has curbside recycling. Recycling is done Thursdays on a biweekly basis. In the event a holiday falls during the week of recycling, the recycling will be on Friday for that week only.
