COVID-19

Dryden PD

Department would like to provide the following procedural adjustments to Village Residents resulting from the COVID-19 epidemic.

These adjustments were determined by the current protocols recommended by the New York State Department of Health, Center for Disease Control and the Tompkins County Department of Health. These adjustments are to limit the risk of exposure and spread of COVID-19 within our Department and Community.

To minimize the chance of spread, and to maintain the social distancing recommendations, when necessary, please be prepared to step outside of your home to speak with responding officers in an open environment.Emergency calls for service will be handled accordingly

We at the Dryden Police Department When calling and filing a report with 911 or our non-emergency line, make sure you provide a call back number to dispatchers. When applicable, our officers will contact you via telephone prior to arrival and asses the need for an in-person interview.  If the Officer determines that an in-person interview is not needed, you will be provided with the incident number and the report will be completed without any direct interaction.

thank you, for your understand and support during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Officer in Charge

Sgt. Josh Tagliavento
